What Products Are Eligible for a Refund?

All software and hardware products that you purchased in the United States or Canada (North America) come with a  14-Day return policy. America's Software Corporation will refund your purchase price subject to policy guidelines and warranty and license agreement provisions.

How Can I Return a Product for a Refund?

  • Contact America's Software Corporation prior to returning software or hardware products to receive a return authorization number.
  • Return the product within 14 days of invoice date.  Write your return authorization number on the Letter and the outside packaging.
  • Provide a copy of your original invoice.
  • Include all related media and manuals.
  • Explain briefly why you want to return the product for a refund.
  • Send the product, its original packaging, and all related materials via traceable means to us at 188 Ponderosa Circle, Mooresville, NC 28117.  Hardware shipped from our manufacturer must be returned to us for credit. For tracking and security reasons, all returns must be sent by Federal Express, UPS, Airborne, DHL, or certified and insured U.S. mail.

What products can be returned and are there any return fees?

  • Software can be returned for a full refund within 14 days of invoice date if it has not been opened.  Each CD is sealed.  If the seal is broken, the software is considered opened and cannot be returned for a refund.
  • Undamaged hardware can be returned within 14 days of invoice date and is subject to a 20% restocking fee.  Damaged hardware can be returned within 90 days of invoice date and is not subject to any restocking fees.
  • If the purchase of the software included promotional items or free goods and you return the software, you must also return the promotional items or free goods in order to get a 100% refund on the software.  Any free goods or promotional items not returned with the software will be billed to the customer at full price and deducted from the software refund.

All validated refund requests will be processed within 2–4 weeks of receipt. Failure to include all the required information may result in a denial of your request or a delay in the processing of your refund.

Consequences of Software Piracy

The losses suffered through software piracy directly affect the profitability of the software industry. Because of the money lost to pirates, publishers have fewer resources to devote to research and development of new products, have less revenue to justify lowering software prices, and are forced to pass these costs on to their customers. Consequently, software publishers, developers, and vendors are taking serious actions to protect their revenues.

Software piracy comes in many forms, but is defined as the illegal duplication, use, sale, or distribution of copyrighted software.

Use of America's Software Corporation's software is limited to a license agreement that specifically states the terms and conditions under which the software may be used, transferred, or distributed legally.

Duplicating America's Software Corporation's software without a license is not permitted.

When software is returned for refund, the customer must remove the installed software from all computers and destroy all instances of it including any intellectual property. If the customer leaves the software installed on their computer (s) or makes a copy of it prior to returning it, this is theft AND copyright infringement.

Piracy, including violation of the license agreement, is copyright infringement and may be punished under both civil and criminal law in the United States and internationally.

III. Annual Support/Maintenance Renewal

Are there any additional fees other than the one time licensure fee?

Yes. We require that every customer agree to and pay an annual support, service and maintenance fee. The fee is due on the anniversary of the purchase of your software and ensures that for another year you can:

1.  Receive the latest updates to your version of the software, regardless of how many we release during the following year.

2.  Continue email and  phone support for your software.

3.  Receive one free 1 hour web training session each year.

An annual support fee is common in the software industry. If the mandatory support fee is not paid, your right to use the license for the software may be revoked.
